WAZIRISTAN CULTURE DRESS

People of Waziristan prefer to wear simple clothes which complement their climatic conditions. Men usually wear shalwar kameez.

Women just wear shalwar kameez when they are at home. But when they are outside they wear a local dress called “Gaandkhat”. It is a long frock type dress made up of 30 metre of cloth called “baandina”. Gaandkhat is made in an umbrella style at the bottom, while it has design on front and back. To make it more attractive mirror work is also done on the front.

وزیرستان کے لوگ سادہ لباس پہننے کی ترجیح دیتے ہیں جو ان کی موسمی حالات کو پورا کرتی ہیں. مرد عام طور پر شالر کمیز پہنتے ہیں.جب

جب وہ گھر میں ہیں تو خواتین شالر کمیز پہنتے ہیں. لیکن جب وہ باہر ہیں تو وہ "گانڑخت" نامی ایک مقامی لباس پہنتے ہیں. یہ "دوگنا" نامی 30 میٹر کپڑا ہے جس میں ایک طویل فکری قسم ہے. گھاٹھٹ نیچے نچلے حصے میں چھتری سٹائل میں بنایا گیا ہے، جبکہ اس کے سامنے سامنے  پیچھے ڈیزائن کیا گیا ہے
